FEDERICO BUFFA takes the stage at TAM with a new show dedicated to Kobe Bryant!

Produced by Imarts and directed by Maria Elisabetta Marelli, OTTO INFINITO is a theatrical tale dedicated to the world basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, between his obsession with success and his thirst for knowledge, with an engaging narrative rich in anecdotes and reflections. With this show, Federico Buffa returns to the theater with his great passion, basketball, exploring the human condition through themes such as dreams, internal struggle, and the desire to overcome one's limits. Buffa, through the figure of Bryant, speaks of perseverance, failure, and redemption, showing how every person can aspire to leave their mark: a tribute to a champion, a reflection on universal values, in search of a meaning that goes beyond athletic success. In recounting Kobe Bryant's life, Buffa humanizes the athlete, highlighting the difficulties he overcame, creating a profound connection between the character and the audience.

The show is a heartfelt tribute to Kobe Bryant, but also a broader reflection on the values we all share: the desire to leave a mark, the constant search for self-discovery, the hunger for knowledge and growth. Buffa manages to create a profound connection between the athlete and the audience, transforming the story of a champion into a life lesson.

Program and cast

Teatro degli Arcimboldi di Milano

The Teatro degli Arcimboldi is a theatre and opera house in Milan which was built over a twenty-seven month period in anticipation of the closure and subsequent nearly three-year long renovation of Milan's La Scala opera house in December 2001. It is located 4.5 miles from the city centre in an abandoned Pirelli tire factory, in an area known as Bicocca.[1]

Designed by Vittorio Gregotti working with architects Mario Botta and Elisabetta Fabbri, the fan-shaped 2,375 seat auditorium, created on two levels, was planned to allow for the continuation of La Scala's 2001/2002 opera season and it was inaugurated with a performance of Verdi's La traviata on 19 January 2002.

An unfortunate accident closed the theatre for seventeen days in February 2001, but it reopened and became the La Scala company's venue until the renovated opera house reopened on its traditional day, 7 December, in 2004.

Performances of many different types of music are still given at the Arcimboldi.
